23 Science Writing Opportunities
ThermoFisher Scientific, Arctic Research Foundation, Scientific American and Morning Brew
Welcome to this week’s edition of The Science Freelancer.
23 gigs and jobs await you in this newsletter.
There is also a short feedback form to let me know if this newsletter is working for you.
The number of opportunities is a bit low in this week’s edition, but there are some really high-paying gigs. If you are passionate about a topic, there are some great fellowships on offer in the Resources section.
Since freelancers do not have the same needs and are at different career levels, we have a mixed bag of opportunities here.

Ajay Soni is looking for a writer with experience in skin science (Warning: Low Budget)

Before we head to the last few sections of the newsletter, here's a note on how I plan to run it.
Most newsletters hide good opportunities behind a paywall, which can really hurt freelancers when the chips are down. Paying $5 or $8 a month, just to get a glimpse of an opportunity does not seem fair.
So, I want to run The Science Freelancer on a “Pass-it-On“ model, where freelancers who are doing well chip in. This month, it could be you; next month, it could be someone else.
Katie M has already supported the newsletter twice. This is what she had to say about the newsletter.
What a fantastic resource Ameya has created for our community. Every time I see it in my inbox I'm eager to see what new opportunities he has curated for us science writers. I'm happy to offer a bit of support to keep this going!

Your business is growing, and so are your responsibilities. So what do you do?
You do more.
You see a chance to expand your reach and increase your impact.
You do more.
You take on more hours, juggle more deadlines, and wear more hats. You miss a ball game here and there. Come home late a few more nights. You spend a holiday or two in your inbox. And you tell yourself,
This season just requires more.
But what if growing your business isn’t about doing more things — but instead doing the right things?
What if you could enjoy the holidays this year knowing that someone else is handling the “more”?
