If you were thinking of buying me a coffee as well, here’s your chance to do it.

I attended a science writers/ journalists conference last week and some people walked up to tell me how they find this newsletter helpful.

I can’t wait for that chance occurrence where we cross paths and you tell me how you found a gig through this newsletter.

Please fill in this 3-question survey, if you have.

There is some good news as well.

Authory has been kind enough to sponsor three editions of this newsletter this December.

The tool is really helpful and I would encourage you to check it out.

Finally, a portfolio that auto-updates and backs up your work! Authory creates a beautiful, self-updating portfolio for you that showcases your writing and keeps your work safe, even if a website shuts down. Join 1,000s of freelance writers and journalists already using Authory to impress clients and employers. Get your free portfolio today

Now onto the gigs!

I include many full-time gigs and some roles that are not directly related to writing because these are opportunities for growth.

You may not be able to apply to these opportunities today but look for skills that are in demand and what you can learn to get there.

I am sure you’d learn something new if the job paid $150k-$250k a year.

Last month, I shared my target for 2024 in this post.

Here’s the split up of revenue so far

Coffees bought: $42

Ad earnings: $166

Sponsorship: $28

So, we are still $319 away from the target (not even the halfway mark), and we have only three more editions to go after this.

Help me get there before the month is over.

Many survey respondents suggested that they would click the ads. If all subscribers clicked on the following ad, we could reach the target today.
